Patent Attorney (Partner)
Christoph Lermer, born in 1968 in Munich studied theoretical physics focusing his studies on physical chemistry (molecular physics), spectroscopy, optics, chemical analysis, medical technology, semiconductor physics and thermodynamics at the Technical University of Munich. Afterwards he completed his postgraduate studies in business and economics at the Open University in Hagen in addition to his professional work.
After completing his physical studies he worked as a system and hardware developer in the chemical industry followed by several years working as a product engineer in the semiconductor industry. Within the scope of this international work he concentrated on the technology of processing wafers and assembly of semiconductor chips, particularly in connection with microcontrollers for automotive applications. Since the year 2000 Mr. Lermer has been working in the field of Intellectual Property. After finishing his training as a patent attorney, he joined the patent law firm Grosse Bockhorni Schumacher. Since 2006 he has been partner in LangRaible, since 2012 in LermerRaible.
Mr. Lermer is experienced in patents, utility models, designs and trademarks. He is entitled to represent clients as patent attorney before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in matters of European Union trademarks and Community designs, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Federal Patent Court as well as the Federal Court of Justice (Nullity Actions). Moreover he is entitled to represent clients before the Swiss Patent- and Trademark Office (IPI). He is a member of various associations of the Physics Department as well as in Intellectual Property.
