Professional Indemnity Insurance

Under the Federal Lawyers’ Act/Patent Attorneys Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO)/ Patentanwaltsordnung (PAO)), lawyers and patent attorneys are required to maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of € 250,000. The details are given in §51 BRAO /§ 45 PAO.
